All of us at Gramafilm.com are working to pioneer a new style of filmmaking: tapping the collaborative spirit of the internet to help professional and amateur film makers create immediate, consumer-driven broadcast-quality films.

Gramafilm is making its content directly available to the public by uploading short films to YouTube, and so building on the exciting concept of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, whose musicians have been selected from 'audition' tapes posted on YouTube,

Gramafilm is breaking new ground in bringing collaborative technology to everybody not just in making its film content immediately available but also in inviting people to discuss the film, as it is filmed and edited.

Using all the tools of the trade - websites, blogs, forums, YouTube and Twitter - Gramafilm are encouraging the world to participate in this innovative documentary project, Harmony: the Road to Carnegie Hall.

This is an exciting step forward in the future of documentary production. We are passionate about the potential power of such a broad input into many issues that are addressed by filmmakers across the globe. For the first time, in real time, the audience can have a lasting influence on the portrayal of specific items. To work with people from many countries, in many languages via the internet is becoming a reality, giving us the opportunity to use web-based dialogue to create professional quality programming... by the people for the people.
